octoolo.com is Octoolo's website: it describes the apps, sells Octoolo Cloud, hosts the download and the customer account. The apps themselves run only in the Windows app, never in the browser. Billing details are in Plans and billing; the account in License and account.

Downloading Octoolo from octoolo.com
Every Download and Download for Windows button on octoolo.com downloads the newest installer directly: https://octoolo.com/download/Octoolo-Setup.exe. There is no separate download page. Next to the big buttons the site shows the current version, the installer's size and "Windows 10 and 11". The site says it "installs in seconds, no admin rights". Installed copies update themselves from the same place. Installing, SmartScreen and updates: Install and update.
The pricing page
https://octoolo.com/pricing/ (also on the home page under the plans) shows:
- The three plans side by side: Monthly, Every 3 months ("Save 10%") and Yearly ("Save 20%"), each with its price a month, how it is billed ("Billed every month", "$13.47 billed every 3 months", "$47.90 billed every year") and Start your 7-day free trial, which opens the checkout with that plan.
- What every plan includes, which apps are free, how the trial and billing work, taxes, Paddle as merchant of record, cancelling, the money-back guarantee, and a FAQ.
- The small print: "7 days free, then billed until you cancel: cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. Prices in US dollars. Depending on where you live, VAT or sales tax is included in the price or added at checkout; the total is shown before you pay. Productivity, Text Studio and Calculator stay free without a subscription."

- Terms of service (https://octoolo.com/terms/): who sells Octoolo, the subscription and trial, payment through Paddle (Paddle's buyer terms apply too), cancelling, price changes (30 days' notice by email), the right to use Octoolo and the license key (up to 3 computers), files and the password vault, fair use, open-source parts, updates, warranty and liability, changes to the terms.
- Refund policy (https://octoolo.com/refunds/): nothing to refund during the trial, 30 days on the first payment, 14 days on a renewal, how to ask (hello@octoolo.com or Paddle at paddle.net), how refunds are paid, and that it adds to consumer law (Plans and billing).
- Privacy policy (https://octoolo.com/privacy/): files stay on the PC, what the app sends over the internet, what stays on the PC, subscribing through Paddle, the account and license, this website (Google Analytics, the visit counter, cookies), writing to Octoolo, and rights.
Each page shows the date it was last updated. The Spanish, Portuguese and German versions say they are translations and that the English version applies where they differ.

- A visitor whose browser prefers another of these languages sees a small bar ("This page is also in English." / "Read it in English", and the same in the other languages). The site never redirects by itself; closing the bar or following it is remembered.
Cookies and the consent banner
octoolo.com uses Google Analytics only if the visitor allows it.
- On the first visit a banner asks: "Cookies, only if you say so" - "Octoolo uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets its cookies only after you accept. Nothing here is for advertising." with a Privacy policy link, Accept and Decline (translated on the translated pages).
- Nothing from Google loads until Accept is pressed. Accepting loads Google Analytics, which sets the
_gaand_ga_ENM5P5RMYRcookies (up to two years) and sends Google the IP address, browser and device details and the pages visited. - Decline (or the Escape key) loads nothing and sets no cookie.
- Browsers that send the Global Privacy Control signal are treated as declining: no banner, no Google Analytics.
- The choice is kept in the browser's local storage (
octoolo-consent), so the banner asks once. In private windows, or with site storage blocked, it asks again next time. - To change the choice: the privacy policy's Change your cookie choice button shows the banner again. Switching to Decline stops Google Analytics on the following pages; cookies Google already set stay until they expire or the visitor clears them in the browser.
octoolo.com's own visit counter
Besides Google Analytics, octoolo.com counts visits on its own server, without cookies. This counter does not depend on the cookie banner's answer:
- It records the page opened, the site that linked to it, campaign tags in the link (
utm_), clicks on Download and on links to other sites, the kind of device, browser and system, and the country of the IP address. - The IP address is not kept: to tell one day's visitors apart, the server mixes it with a random value deleted after the day, so visits cannot be linked across days or to a person.
- Browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted at all.
- The counts are kept about 13 months (privacy policy).
The chat on octoolo.com
Every page of octoolo.com has a chat with Octoolo's assistant: the Ask Octoolo button at the bottom right (in Spanish Pregunta a Octoolo, in Portuguese Pergunte ao Octoolo, in German Frag Octoolo). It shows once the cookie banner has been answered. The assistant is an AI (built on a model from OpenAI) that answers from Octoolo's help: what Octoolo does, which app fits a task, the plans and the free trial, installing, and how to use the apps.
- It answers in the language the visitor writes in, and links to the pages of octoolo.com.
- It cannot see or change an account, a subscription, a license key or a payment. For those, it sends people to octoolo.com/account/ or to hello@octoolo.com.
- The conversation stays in the browser tab, so it follows the visitor from page to page; New chat (the circular arrow) starts again, and closing the tab forgets it. Octoolo does not keep it.
- Answers can be wrong; the chat says so under the box. Nobody should type passwords or card details into it.
- When many people ask at once, or one visitor asks a lot (about ten questions in ten minutes), it asks them to wait and try again, or to email hello@octoolo.com.
- When there is no Ask Octoolo button at all, the chat is turned off; email works as always.

The site has no advertising trackers. Paddle's checkout on the checkout page runs inside a frame from Paddle, under Paddle's own privacy policy. The privacy policy also says the site's server is at Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt and keeps standard logs (IP address, page, browser) for about two weeks.
Contact and the company behind Octoolo
- Contact: hello@octoolo.com (the site's Contact us, the legal pages, and the reply address of every Octoolo email). Inside the app, Help and feedback (the Feedback button at the bottom of the home screen's sidebar) reaches the same team; its replies show in the app.
- Octoolo and octoolo.com are made and run by Getiket Technologies. Its registered legal name (in the terms and the privacy policy): Getiket Teknoloji ve Yazılım Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi.
- Getiket Technologies is responsible for the personal data the privacy policy describes; Paddle is responsible for the data it collects at checkout. Requests to see, correct or delete data go to hello@octoolo.com and are answered within 30 days.
- Payments are taken by Paddle.com, the merchant of record (Plans and billing).
What octoolo.com cannot do
- It does not run Octoolo's apps or tools in the browser and does not take files: every task page describes work done in the Windows app, on the person's PC.
- It offers only the Windows app; there is no download for macOS, Linux, Android or iOS.
- Signing in on the website does not turn on the app (see License and account).
- It has no contact form or chat: contact is by email to hello@octoolo.com, or Help and feedback in the app (Feedback in the home screen's sidebar).
